Domain Name Registration with MelanieHofhuis.co.uk

MelanieHofhuis.co.uk is a registered member of Nominet. Domain names are registered to our Nominet IPS Tag.

Domain Registrations

You must possess the legal right to use the name, and by registering, you are confirming to me that you have this right.

Renewal Policy

To ensure service continuity, all domain names are set to auto-renew unless otherwise requested. If auto-renewal has been disabled, an email will be sent to the admin contact email address 30 days/7 days and on the renewal date. It is the registrant’s responsibility to keep all contact details up to date to receive reminder emails. MelanieHofhuis.co.uk cannot be held responsible if a domain name fails to renew due to incorrect contact details.

Expiry Policy

Once your .UK domain name has expired, it will enter a 30-day grace period before suspension. After 90 days, the domain name will be cancelled and become available for others to register. Modifications to domain names registered with MelanieHofhuis.co.uk do not incur a cost.

Response Times

I will respond to all customer queries within 72 hours during weekdays, excluding weekends.

Termination

Should you wish to transfer your domain names away from us, please inform us via email, and we will assist with the transfer to a new registrar.

Complaints Procedure

To raise a complaint regarding your domain name, please email melhofhuis@gmail.com with detailed information. We aim to respond within 1 working day and resolve any issues within 3 working days. If you are unsatisfied with the outcome, please email your ticket reference to melhofhuis@gmail.com for escalation.

Abuse Contact

For concerns about domain names where we are the registrar (e.g., spam, phishing), please email melhofhuis@gmail.com with detailed information. We aim to respond within 1 working day.

Transferring a Domain to Another Registrar

Transferring a domain registered through MelanieHofhuis.co.uk to another registrar is free of charge and can be initiated at any time by emailing melhofhuis@gmail.com with a cover letter and confirmation of the new IPS tag.

SLA

We provide an SLA to our customers; in the event that you do not have an existing Service Level Agreement (which would take preference), our .uk Domain Services SLA is shown below. Customers have told us that, for Business Continuity purposes, they prefer domains to always renew unless they tell us otherwise. Therefore, we handle renewal automatically as part of your hosting; we will typically send out invoices after renewal, to the emails to the email address on the account, it is the registrants responsibility to make sure their contact details are up to date.

We take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect. If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date, you will have up to 30 days (protected period) to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee.

Renewal fee(s) are stated in your contract. After 30 days your domain will be suspended which means all services will stop and will go into a 60 day grace period which you can still renew your domain name.

If the domain name is not renewed, it will be cancelled and deleted from the register after 90 days and made available for resale through a third party registrar.
